Having worked in ECO since its launch in 2013, Ecogee has partnered with local councils, housing providers and utility companies to deliver high quality workmanship while making a genuine difference to people’s lives.
We have a contract with Sefton Council that has seen us recently installing energy saving measures to over 150 homes in the borough. Our latest work in the area is on the Home Upgrade Grant (HUG) scheme, installing low carbon heating solutions along with solar PV and other energy saving measures in homes that are deemed “off gas.”
In our combat against fuel poverty in the North West, we have continuously worked on improving energy efficiency to low income homes by installing energy saving measures through the government’s Energy Company Obligation (ECO), and now the Local Authority Delivery (LAD) schemes and the HUG schemes.
Over the past 5 years, Ecogee has built out in excess of £12 Million Pounds worth of development across both social housing and private domestic dwellings. Ranging from 5-bedroom detached homes to 1-bedroom apartments.
Ecogee, over the past 5 years, has been involved in a variety of schemes with a number of well-known social housing providers including ForViva Housing, One Vision Housing and Prima Housing. Carrying out such works as: Voids, Kitchen and Bathroom replacements scheme, External render, modernisation of both low rise, high-rise apartments and reactive service and breakdown. With a total value in excess of £6M pounds.
During the past 5 years, Ecogee have completed in excess of £5M pounds worth of work in this specialist sector. Ranging from individual domestic dwelling, high rise apartment blocks to commercial properties.
Ecogee was established in 2012 in response to the launch of the Government energy efficiency programme, ECO. The company was formed by two local men, Brendan Helm and Lee Kissock with several members of their families employed within the business.
Brendan Helm, previously a regional Manager for the nationwide main building contractor “MITIE” and his business partner, Lee Kissock a stairlift engineer with “STANNAH stairlifts” identified the long-term opportunity that Eco presented to them, Liverpool and the North West.
Ecogee currently employs 55 members of staff from its offices in Aintree with the majority living directly in Merseyside. In addition, Ecogee works with over 50 sub-contractors/small businesses again, the majority living in and operating locally.
