Ecogee is an energy and construction specialist company providing green energy solutions across the North West.
It was established in 2012 in response to the launch of the Government’s energy efficiency programme, Energy Company Obligation (ECO), which aims to tackle fuel poverty and reduce carbon emissions.
Founded by two local entrepreneurs, Brendan Helm and Lee Kissock, Ecogee prides itself on being a local business, that goes out of its way to support workers and communities within Merseyside.
Brendan, previously a regional manager for nationwide main building contractor Mitie and business partner Lee, a stairlift engineer with Stannah Stairlifts, identified the long-term opportunity that ECO presented to them, in Liverpool and the North West.
We currently employ more than 60 members of staff at our Aintree Headquarters, all living locally in Merseyside. In addition, Ecogee works with, and supports, over 50 local subcontractors and small businesses. We endeavour to source all materials locally where possible.
From its small routes in 2012, Ecogee has developed into one of the top providers of energy saving grants in the North West, becoming a partner of choice for a number of social housing providers, as well as being highly sought after by developers to assist with their new build projects.
We are a business with strong values that you can rely upon.
These grants allow Ecogee to fit a variety of energy saving measures into domestic households and range from a new A rated gas boiler, first time central heating systems, cavity wall insulation, underfloor and loft insulation as well as external wall insulation; the majority of which is fully funded. Through these grants, Ecogee works with a variety of clients such as Sefton Council, The Prima Housing Group, Torus, Halton housing and One Vision Housing. Under ECO4 Ecogee will be fitting energy saving measures to qualifying households to reduce fuel poverty and reduce the carbon footprint.
Over the last 3 years, Ecogee has completed several housing projects for both the private and social housing sectors ranging from a one-bedroom apartment to a five-bedroom detached house.
Ecogee has been working with some of the largest social housing providers in Liverpool such as The Prima Group, Halton Housing and One Vision Housing, delivering a variety of schemes such as voids, replacement of kitchen and bathrooms, external rendering at both low rise and high-rise apartment blocks and a 24-hour full repair and maintenance programme.
Ecogee has delivered several high-profile schemes over the past few years with the flagship being the development of Baltic View, consisting of 130 one, two, and three-bedroom apartments in Liverpool’s Baltic Triangle.
Ecogee has a solid reputation for fitting solar PV to homes regionally. We have built up a team of industry experts to grow and develop this much required energy saving measure.
