Creating Social Value in the Community

At Ecogee we’re all about focusing on creating social value and impact in the communities that we work in!

Back in November, our friends over at Cobalt Housing asked us to support them on their community action day, helping to repaint railings, place new planters to discourage fly-tipping and plant new grass seeds to restore the green space that will become part of a community garden on Scarisbrick Road.

The team at Ecogee were happy to join Cobalt’s Norris Green Neighbourhood Team alongside Liverpool City Council, Ridge and Partners LLP and Brabners to clear the area.

Local school children carried out a litter pick of the area and planted shrub seeds. In spring, fruit and vegetable seeds will be added here, providing food for residents. As a reward for the children’s efforts, Merseyside Police and Everton in the Community are gifting them tickets to attend a match at Goodison Park in December.

Residents received fuel vouchers and estate inspections and could access skips to dispose of bulky items, free of charge.

It was great to see Cobalt’s community partners providing their support, including The Dog’s Trust, Cats Protection, The Anthony Walker Foundation and Liverpool City Council Safer Stronger Communities.

We were thrilled to be part of this community event, it was incredible to see so many people want to get involved to make a positive impact and see the community thrive!
