What is HUG2?
HUG2 stands for Home Upgrade Grant Two. It’s a government-funded grant scheme that provides energy efficiency upgrades and low carbon heating to eligible households. The goal of HUG2 is to make homes warmer and cheaper to run.
How do I know if I’m eligible for the HUG2?
Households wanting to apply for HUG2 must meet all funding conditions:

- Properties that are identified as off the gas grid (your home does not use gas for ALL main heating purposes)
- Properties with an EPC band D to G
- Owner occupiers or private rented tenants (At least one-third contribution by Private Landlord)
- Households’ annual income of £36,000 or below,
or
Households living within eligible postcodes (we can check this for you!)
If you qualify for funding, we’ll perform a home survey of the property to make sure we can install upgrades.
