Baltic View Development drew critical acclaim at the industry awards in 2019. The site was awarded “The Residential Property Deal of the Year” at the insider property awards Liverpool City Region 2019.
Baltic View is a development of 130 one two- and three-bedroom apartments, communal space, courtyard and nine commercial units, located in “The Baltic Triangle” Liverpool 1 a vibrant area made up of cafes bars and galleries.
Ecogee were the appointed contractor appointed by Crossfield Construction the major contractor, to complete External Wall Insulation Works to the whole of the project. The site had sat idle for several years before both Crossfield and Ecogee involvement in the project.
Ecogee were tasked with fitting an “Aliva System” an external wall product made up of Rockwool Insulation, silicon render and a lightweight brick-slip finish. Due to Liverpool City Council restrictions and requirements, lightweight brick-slip finish had not been installed in Liverpool over the past five years. However, Ecogee were able to work with and to Demonstrate to Liverpool City Council the benefits and the finish that could be achieved through using this method.
Baltic view was under construction during the Covid pandemic. Baltic view was the first construction site in Liverpool to re-open following the closer brought on by the outbreak of Covid 19. The nature of the site being the first to reopen meant that all operations and all operatives of Ecogee were immediately placed in the spotlight and were closely monitored by both Crossfield and by Liverpool City Council to ensure all current and new policies and procedures were being met.
The scheme was fully completed in 2021 on time and on budget.
