At Ecogee, the work we do can transform someone’s life, helping them feel warmer and happier in their home.
This year, we met Bill who was eligible for ECO4 works to his home, alongside LCRCA, all the work we did was fully funded and didn’t cost Bill a penny.
Once the team began work in Bill’s house, it was clear he was struggling in his home, there was severe disrepair to the property. He didn’t feel like he could live there happily anymore.
Bill was a very vulnerable customer and had several issues in his home that made it difficult to live comfortably, he was struggling. Bill didn’t have a working kitchen or shower. The team found there were lots of structural and repair issues with the home.
The team at Ecogee met with partners and local suppliers who they felt could join in to support Bill and help him regain some comfort in his home. Ecogee completed ECO4 works to Bill’s home including but it didn’t stop there. The team facilitated generous donations and work that completely transformed Bill’s home.
Ecogee committed £5,000 for a new kitchen and bathroom to be fitted. Making the home functional and comfortable was an important part of helping Bill feel more at home. When all the work in the kitchen and bathroom was completed, the team fitted brand new carpets and extra decorative works, such as fitting a new carpet.
Ecogee organised support from Techstruc who supplied structural surveys and worked closely with LCRCA and Halton Borough Council to complete the structural repairs to the home. At the end of the project Ecogee reached out to Regenda Homes who secured some new furniture to put back into the property afterwards for Bill.
