What is the ECO4 scheme?
Ecogee was established in 2012 in response to the launch of the Government’s energy efficiency programme, Energy Company Obligation (ECO), which aims to tackle fuel poverty and reduce carbon emissions.
The ECO4 scheme will be focused on one obligation – the Home Heating Cost Reduction Obligation (HHCRO). This will allow energy efficient measure to be fitted into qualifying households with the expectations that they will help to reduce fuel poverty and reduce the carbon footprint.
Ecogee has secured contracts with two of the main utility providers in the UK, OVO Energy and Scottish Power, to work with them to help deliver ECO4 to qualifying households in the North West. ECO4 is due to run until March 2026.

Thousands of UK households are eligible for free energy efficiency upgrades such as loft insulation, a new boiler, heat pump or solar panels.
